About the Trip

Discover the charm of Marsa Alam beyond the beaches with our City Tour — a group trip designed to let you experience the authentic side of local life together with other travelers.

Your day begins with a pick-up from your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus or minivan, shared with fellow guests, for a drive to the small town of Marsa Alam.

We’ll start the tour by visiting some local shops in town, where you’ll find a wider selection and better prices than in many hotel shops — the perfect opportunity to pick up souvenirs and maybe even make a bargain. Here you’ll find local products such as oils and spices, handmade souvenirs, clothing, shoes, bags, jewelry, and more.

Next, continue on to visit the local Coptic Orthodox church and the mosque.

You’ll also enjoy a relaxed walk through the city, including a stop to taste a traditional Egyptian drink (included in the price).

Unlike Port Ghalib, which is located further north and primarily developed around tourism, Marsa Alam offers a more authentic atmosphere. Here, you have the chance to experience everyday local life.

During the tour, you can also explore local shops such as supermarkets, fruit and vegetable stalls, and even stop by a pharmacy if you need to.
