About this trip

Start your day early with a scenic drive from Marsa Alam to the ancient city of Luxor, once the capital of the pharaohs. You'll be picked up from your hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle.
Pickup time depends on your hotel’s location and will be confirmed at booking.

You will then travel from Marsa Alam to Luxor, enjoying a scenic drive through desert landscapes and the Nile Valley, with a relaxing break along the way between the two cities.

Begin with a guided visit to the impressive Karnak Temple, one of Egypt’s largest temple complexes. Then cross the Nile to explore the West Bank, where you’ll visit the Valley of the Kings — your ticket includes entry to three royal tombs.
Tutankhamun’s tomb is not included, but can be added for $25 per person.

You’ll also see the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, beautifully carved into the cliffs, and stop at the towering Colossi of Memnon.

Lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant is included.
You will also have the chance to visit a papyrus workshop, where you’ll see a fascinating demonstration of how papyrus is made, along with stops at other authentic local shops

This is a private tour, giving you flexibility to move at your own pace. You can also customize the itinerary — for example, choose Luxor Temple instead of Karnak, or request other small changes.

To end the day, you have the option to add a peaceful felucca sailboat ride on the Nile for an extra fee — a relaxing way to finish your Luxor experience.
